What's your motivation?

Asher, unfortunately, has inherited my gene for chocolate obsession, poor child. He didn't get any candy until after his first birthday, and then only about once every couple of months. We have really fallen off the wagon this past week or two because of the move. I would tell him every time we got in the car to go to Greensboro, "If you don't cry, you will get M&M's when we get there." I would then ask, "What do you have to do to get the M&M's?" "No cry, Mommy." Great, glad we're on the same page.

M&M's served another purpose yesterday, though still one of bribery. I was never really sure if Asher actually knows his colors, or if he's a lucky guesser. Sometimes he calls something that is totally yellow red, or vice versa. So yesterday in the line at Helmart, I got a bag of M&M's. He could only have the piece if he told me the right color. Lo and behold, he got every one right but two, and one was a brown that he called black. I think he just does things like tell me the car is yellow to keep me always guessing.
