Disappearing snappis

I buy snappis several at a time (the thing that holds Asher's diapers together) because they ALWAYS disappear, always! It drives me nuts, where do they go? Does the snappi monster eat them up when I'm not looking? I was down to one and somehow I lost it. I took Asher's diaper off in the living room, took it to the pail in the bathroom, put another diaper on in the bedroom (one that didn't require a snappi), and it is GONE. So now I get to buy some more. I'm going to buy one hundred and that should last me at least six months.
