Back from Florida

We made it back to Virginia in one piece, yea! We went to visit Logan's dad and stepmom for Spring Break in Florida. It was a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be home. Asher is quite a handful at our house where there are no hazards to his health, and he is double trouble in an environment that is fraught with danger (i.e., lots of little breakable objects, candles, nuts in shells, old, fragile books, etc.) Suffice it to say we spent a great deal of time in the great outdoors, exploring the retirement community. Even there he tried tirelessly to ride in other residents' golf carts (cucks (trucks), as he called them) and attempted to remove one of those giant glass balls from its pedestal in someone's garden.

The child never stops moving! He runs from the time his feet hit the floor in the morning, until he is put into bed at night. I would love to strap a pedometer on him to see how many miles he racks up in a day. I lost three pounds in five days chasing him around.

It's amazing to see how his mind is developing so rapidly, in addition to his physique. We went to sign the final papers on our house today, and as we were walking up, he said, "bloon, bloon". When were there a month ago, there were balloons attached to the sign out front that he was fascinated with, and he remembered where they had been! His vocabulary has increased to over 50 words, now including ma ma which he says constantly. It's going to be hard to go back to work and leave him next week :(.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe he's talking so much! I can't imagine little Asher talking :) It is amazing how much their minds just "take off" at a certain age. I'm still amazed by Benjamin's ability to observe the world around him. If he says "25," I can absolutely BET that there is a 25 around somewhere, even if it's tiny and it takes me forever to see it, he's always right! It's fun to hear from you again!
